The Georgia Grown Commission hosted a James Beard House Dinner Preview highlighting Georgia produce, products and chefs on Monday, October 5th.  Guests enjoyed a seasonal menu, created for the upcoming Georgia Grown  Dinner at the James Beard House in NYC.

The event celebrated the influential role played by the Peach State's chefs and its outstanding agricultural resources. Chefs Holly Chute of Georgia Grown, Jay Swift of 4th and Swift and Noble Fin, Kyle Jacovino of The Florence, Savannah Haseler of Twain's Brewpub, Chrysta Poulos of Rocket Farms Restaurants, and Mixologist Julian Goglia of The Pinewood are created a Fall-inspired meal  to celebrate Georgia's best produce and more importantly, increase awareness that agriculture is the single biggest economic contributor to the state's economy. The dynamic group, known for their passion and  commitment to supporting Georgia Grown’s mission, presented assorted hors d’oeuvres, five entrées and dessert inspired by the best of Georgia Fall produce. Event sponsors included Springer Mountain Farms, Georgia Restaurant Association, The Coca-Cola Company and Delta Air Lines.

If the preview dinner is any indication, the  Georgia Grown Dinner at the James Beard House in NYC will exemplify the talent of our local chefs and the bounty of Georgia's agriculture.
