2012 State of Buckhead Address

President of the Buckhead Coalition and former Mayor of Atlanta, Sam Massell, will deliver the 2012 State of Buckhead Address on Thursday, February 16 at the City Club of Buckhead.

The program runs from 7:20 to 9 a.m. and begins promptly at 7:50 a.m. Attendees can purchase tickets at the door. Tickets are $10 for BBA members and $20 for visitors and guests. No RSVP is necessary.

Buckhead Restaurant Week

From February 24 to March 4, Buckhead residents can feast on outstanding cuisine for a fraction of the cost at some of the area’s best restaurants. Each restaurant will offer a prix-fixe, three-course menu that includes choice of an appetizer, a main course and a dessert for $25 or $35 per person excluding alcohol, tax and gratuity.

Great Pinot! Wine Tasting at Kurt's Bistro

Kurt's Bistro presents another installment of their anticipated monthly wine tasting series. On Thursday, February 23 from 6 - 8 p.m., sommeliers will present a global tour of pinot noirs - from Chile, New Zealand, California, Germany and France. For $20 you can taste to your heart's content and sample chef selected hors d'oeuvres.

King of the Mountain Chef’s Challenge at Old Edwards Inn

Consider venturing up to the beautiful Old Edwards Inn in North Carolina on March 17 to watch as chefs battle it out for the title of King of the Mountain. In each of three cooking competitions, chefs will have 40 minutes to prepare a meal using three to five “mystery” ingredients revealed to them at the start of the competition.
Three judges will evaluate the chefs’ creations based on taste, use of ingredients, presentation and originality.  Flavors’ very own Managing Food Editor, Shelley Sawyer (pictured below) will provide colorful commentary throughout.

Following the cooking challenges, attendees will dine on a four-course dinner while listening to live entertainment. Tickets are $165 for stage seating and $135 for general seating and may be purchased at www.samcallproductions.com.
