Chef Chris Watkins from eat.drink.repeat is the winner of RA Sushi’s first-ever “Foodies Show Heart” charity sushi-rolling competition! Competing on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Watkins beat out other top food bloggers and media with his winning roll. The “This is the Way We Roll” features shrimp tempura, spicy kani kama crab mix and mango, rolled and topped with red beet tempura bits and drizzled with a sweet eel sauce and wasabi mayo ($8). Now through Saturday, November 30, $4 from every roll sold will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.   The “Foodies Show Heart” event took place on Thursday, October 24 at RA Sushi in Midtown. Contestants were paired with a RA Sushi chef to create and name a signature roll. At a tasting event held that evening, the crowd sampled each of the rolls and voted for their favorite. The “This is the Way We Roll” is available now from open to close through Saturday, November 30. RA Sushi is located in the 1010 Midtown building at 1080 Peachtree Street.
