La Tavola Trattoria in Virginia-Highland offers a private patio as well as indoor seating, accommodating between 30 to 120 people. Another Virginia-Highland restaurant, The Original El Taco, rents out both the patio area and restaurant, seating 75 to 100 guests inside. Finally, South City Kitchen Vinings, offers private dining for parties ranging between 30 and 230 people. Ray’s Restaurants has three different atmospheres for private dining. Ray’s on the River, Atlanta’s premier riverfront restaurant, can accommodate parties of up to 200 guests with their semi-private banquet facilities in addition to a permanent tent, also accommodating up to 200 people. For more intimate gatherings in town, Ray’s in the City has both private and semi-private dining rooms available that accommodate up to 45 people. Ray’s on the Creek, an Alpharetta favorite, has several different room options and accommodates parties up to 300 people. Chef Chris Watkins from eat.drink.repeat is the winner of RA Sushi’s first-ever “Foodies Show Heart” charity sushi-rolling competition! Competing on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Watkins beat out other top food bloggers and media with his winning roll. The “This is the Way We Roll” features shrimp tempura, spicy kani kama crab mix and mango, rolled and topped with red beet tempura bits and drizzled with a sweet eel sauce and wasabi mayo ($8). Now through Saturday, November 30, $4 from every roll sold will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the world’s largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.   The “Foodies Show Heart” event took place on Thursday, October 24 at RA Sushi in Midtown. Contestants were paired with a RA Sushi chef to create and name a signature roll. At a tasting event held that evening, the crowd sampled each of the rolls and voted for their favorite.
