CHG Restaurants to Host Series of Culinary Events from Monday, October 3, through Sunday, October 9
Grab your CHG passport and head to Cooks & Soldiers, Double Zero, The Iberian Pig and Sugo during Castellucci Hospitality Group’s second annual CHG Restaurant Week! From Monday, October 3, through Sunday, October 9, each restaurant will host themed events and classes, concluding with CHG’s fifth annual All Chefs Dinner.

CHG Restaurant Week Passport
Now through CHG Restaurant Week, guests can pick up a CHG Restaurant Week Passport at Cooks & Soldiers, Double Zero, The Iberian Pig and Sugo. By attending events throughout the week, guests will receive stamps that can be redeemed for prizes, as follows:

Two event stamps – $25 CHG gift card
  • Three event stamps – $50 CHG gift card
  • Four event stamps – $75 CHG gift card
  • Five event stamps – $100 CHG gift card
  • Six event stamps – $125 CHG gift card
  • Seven event stamps – In-home tasting for eight guests hosted by a CHG chef of your choice (valid Sunday through Thursday only; limited to one per household/couple)
To redeem a reward, guests must drop off their passport complete with a valid email address at any CHG restaurant. Once approved, CHG will email gift cards via OpenTable Gifts. Passports won’t be valid without an authorized signature. Rewards are not cumulative.

· Monday, October 3 – Kick Off Cocktail Party at Double Zero
Kicking off CHG Restaurant Week, Double Zero will host a cocktail party in its new location in Emory Village. Guests are invited to gather in the bar area from 6 to 9 p.m. to enjoy cocktail specials by bar manager Nick Dolby, complimentary light bites by executive chef Edwin Molina and live music. · Tuesday, October 4 – “Evolution of the Cocktail” Class at The Iberian Pig
Explore the evolution cocktails with The Iberian Pig’s bar manager Jason King, who will lead guests on a journey toward mastering mixology. Starting at 7 p.m., guests will enjoy historical libations from the first official mixed drink to molecular gastronomy, each paired with dishes prepared by executive chef Eric Roberts for $59 per guest, excluding tax and gratuity. · Wednesday, October 5 – Vertical Wine Tasting at Cooks & Soldiers
Join Cooks & Soldiers for a special vertical wine tasting featuring wines from Spanish winemaker, J.C. Vizcarra. · Thursday, October 6 – “Throw Back Thursday” at The Iberian Pig
For one day only, The Iberian Pig will throw it back in honor of #TBT with original menu items. From 2 to 4 p.m., let executive chef Ricardo Soto guide you through the techniques used to create Sugo’s signature hanger steak on the Big Green Egg. Next Monday, September 19, locals can kick off the work week with a 5 for $25 menu of Saltyard's most loved small plates like piquillo peppers with chevre and honey, flash fried brussels, salmon poké tacos, and an infamous chocolate nemesis cake (a flourless chocolate treat) that MUST be tried. House made sangrias for only $5 per glass will also be offered. This deal will be available every Monday until further notice is given.

Inman Park is in the middle of a regentrification with over six hundred new apartments being built on North Highland and Krog Street.  It is part of the Atlanta Police Departments zone six which the Atlanta Police now call the "New Entertainment Zone" with over 380 liquor licenses in place.  Inman Park is Atlanta's first planned residential suburb and also Atlanta's first electric trolley neighborhood. Created at the cusp of the twentieth century, this ideal Victorian neighborhood - curved streets, generous residential lots, and verdant parks - was built upon the wrecked land of Atlanta's Civil War battlefield, two miles east of downtown Atlanta. Inman Park was the brainchild of a renaissance thinker named Joel Hurt (1850-1926), who modeled the neighborhood after other trolley neighborhoods he had seen throughout the United States. 

On Wednesday, September 21st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, located in Buckhead, will host Davio’s Cooks for Charity with special guest Laura Flusche, Executive Director of MODA, Museum of Design Atlanta.

Alongside Executive Chef Timothy Magee, Flusche will roll up her sleeves to prepare and serve her favorite Davio’s dish, Roasted Acorn Squash, Organic Mushroom Risotto, Fennel-Hazelnut Salad. Guests will be able to enjoy the specialty dish for $23 (excluding tax and gratuity). One hundred percent of the sales from her Davio’s dish will be donated to MODA. While pecans are known for being versatile and adding great flavor and texture in everything from ice cream to salads, this must try dish proves there is no better way to enjoy pecans in the Fall/Winter than in a hearty slice of pie. 

Offered at 1KEPT, an intimate restaurant known as Atlanta's "best kept secret", Chef Cary Ruf's Valdosta Pecan Pie features freshly harvested pecans from South Georgia that are baked in a caramel filling with subtle, addictive notes of maple. The dense filling is where the dish differs from the standard Southern approach, which often leans toward the "jiggly" side. It's finished with Madagascar vanilla and sea salt ice cream and is a MUST TRY for anyone in Atlanta. Photos are included below.
