Prepare your taste buds for the 24th Annual Taste of Alpharetta onThursday, May 8 in historic downtown Alpharetta, 2 South Main Street, from 5-10 p.m. With 50,000 families, food lovers and festival-goers in attendance, over 60 gourmet food options, live music, and food competitions, the Taste of Alpharetta is the Southeast’s most anticipated dining festival. In addition to the great food, patrons will enjoy a culinary competition, live music and family-friendly Fun Zone areas.
Admission is free and patrons can purchase food and activity tickets - 10 tickets for $5. Tickets are redeemed at participating restaurant booths for a wide selection of tastes that will range from $.50 - $3 per sample or can also be used in the events family-friendly Fun Zones for a variety of activities ranging from pony rides and rock climbing walls, to inflatable’s, balloon art and henna tattoos. From 5 - 7:30 p.m. Culinary Competitions will heat up Roswell Street. A separate Culinary Stage diagonally across from the Music Stage will pair top area chefs against one another in contests for Best Salad/Appetizer, Best Fast Casual Entree, Best Fine Dining Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Presentation and Best Booth. Atlanta Eats TV and radio host, Mara Davis, will emcee the culinary competition stage.
People’s Choice Awards (Located on Roswell Street at the Culinary Stage):
Ballots will be available at the Culinary Stage through 7pm. There are no judging guidelines for this category. The restaurant with the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award.
Fun Zones (located on Old Roswell and Old Canton Streets):

South City Kitchen Vinings is making a run for the roses! Cheer on all 26 elite thoroughbreds at the South City Kitchen Vinings’ annualKentucky Derby Viewing Party on Saturday, May 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. The exclusive event will be held in the spacious bar area complete with big screen TVs to ensure you catch all of the action. Neighborhood event to include live music, complimentary drinks and arts & crafts on May 2
ATLANTA (April 23, 2014) – Floataway Community and Steve Steinman Sculptor, members of the thriving Zonolite Business District, continue their bi-annual Friday celebration series with a community block party on Friday, May 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. “Festive Friday” welcomes the entire community to partake in a Zonolite Road experience, complete with live entertainment, an artist’s market and complimentary food and beverage.
Festive Friday kicks off with live music by Moody and The Tom Jeneff Trio and complimentary libations from Abita Beer and Cathead Vodka. Guests will enjoy nibbles donated by several area restaurants including The General Muir, Whole Foods Market, Family Dog and more while strolling through Festive Friday’s vibrant artist and merchant market which will feature aura readings by clairvoyant Jamie Butler, iron art by Invictus Forge and much more. At 7 p.m., performers from the Imperial Opa Circus will dazzle and amaze the whole family with an aerial show, fire-breathing tricks and other daring circus acts. With a suggested donation of $5 to $10, this must-see show will benefit South Fork Conservancy’s Nickel Bottom Garden and Imperial Opa’s non-profit sector. The evening will also include a silent auction for the benefit of Nickel Bottom Garden. Bid on a variety of restaurant packages, event floral design, a circus performance package and more.
